Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Nazareth - what besides music unites these world-famous bands? That's right, in 1968, exactly half a century ago, the world heard about them for the first time. In 2018, they turned 50.
And if in the case of the future of Ozzy Osbourne's team everything is rather vague, and Robert Plant works exclusively on a solo project, then honorable Nazareth will please their fans with this year's new work.
The 24th studio album called "Tattooed On My Brain" and this is such a chic cover:
The record will be released in October this year. And to spark interest in fans, the group has already introduced the first single "Pole to Pole". But before I listen to the new song, I want to talk about the changes in the band at the time of recording and the planned performances.
Until fifty of Nazareth remain only Pete Agnew, who played in the band for all fifty years, lasted. He is the only member of the original composition. From the 94th on guitar Jimmy Murrison, and with 99th drummer of the band is son of Pete Agnu, Lee Agnu. In 2013, Dan McCafferty says that he leaves the group for health reasons, but at the same time they recorded the last work - the album "Rock 'n' Roll Telephone". The studio-tape was well appreciated by critics.
Replacement frontman is found in the face of Edinburgh Linton Osborne, who was at the microphone for a year. But not destiny. Osborne also had some kind of sore airway, and he had to leave. As a result, the choice fell on the musician Carl Sentans.
In the photo below, the active staff of Nazareth:
I propose to listen to the live performance of "Love Hurts" with Carl Sentanse:
Replacement of any part of the group is a difficult period, especially when it is impossible to imagine Nazareth without the raucous voice of McCafferty. But on the performance you hear that the new member is coping well with his duties.
Pete Agnew about the new studio recording:
I expect that this album, due to the new composition, will get under the very close attention of our fans, and after that, I hope, will be recognized as one of the best in our career.
Well, now let's listen to a new song from the upcoming album.
Judging by this record, something interesting is waiting for us.
I think the Nazareth will please us with one more single, and very soon we will be able to evaluate longplay.
good news. will wait
