Luther Allison (Luther Allison), American Blues singer-guitarist, a veteran of the Chicago Blues scene of the 60s, Blues rocker early 70's, a traditionalist in the 80's, by the end of the 90's became the undisputed leader of the Texas Blues style.
Born in Arkansas, 14th child. But not the last, was still and 15 th. He began to sing in the Church choir (as I understand it, the Church was seriously engaged in children – clubs, choir, music school. A guitar picked up in 18 years - but he had the experience of playing the organ in Church.
In the summer of 1997, he was diagnosed with lung and upper respiratory cancer. How unexpected it was, can be judged at least by the tight tour schedule Ellison, compiled for the entire second half of 1997. Tickets bought in advance, many fans of the Blues left at home. Allison burned in one month. He died before reaching 5 days to 58 years.
