Great post. Those Legend of Zelda songs are so memorable, aren't they? When you hear them later, you can remember the scenes in the games and the emotions tied to them.
When a song in a game is successful it helps make the game part of you in that moment. I love racing games and just chilling out to the background music while I travel through the scenery.
