This is a great video for a great song, though. I'm trying to watch more of them lately, as they are artistic statements made by bands whose music I already enjoy. Often the visuals make the high listening experience even more enjoyable, too.
The music video is sort of a lost art. We live in a strange time for music in a lot of ways. The technology to make really good sounding albums is available in basically any computer you buy (Mac anyway), but people like me are more interested in the hiss and fuzz of older sounding recordings, even when it comes to new music. I'm not sure why that is. I grew up listening to tapes, though, so maybe that's why I like it. Who knows. Maybe I'm a goddamn dirty hipster... it could be! I do like fancy coffee and finer things.
