Wow. Since October, a year ago, my brave and unique path, has been an eye-opening one. My life is guided by my life's purpose. It seems that I have been that lone soldier, who returned to a wasteland of a battlefield, to save a sole survivor, of a decimation. My life has been called that, of a guardian angel, a truest Friend in the sincerest form.
How, you say? For starters, my friend choices have been as open, honest and diverse as humanly possible. All walks, all skin tones, all spectrums of the gender, cultural, lifestyles, outcasts, recasts, B sides and rarities. I see FAMILY in each person who I contact, no matter how we're introduced. My inherent upbringing taught me manners, respect, dignity, courage, strength -through-adversity, and integrity. I believed, from a young, tender age, that my Creator, My Infinitely wise, Grand Designer, had a solid connection, to my LIFE; and that TheHighestPower knew everything, that my senses have picked up, since birth. It was deeply internal, surreal AND YET, utterly fantastic and serene.
Simply put, I felt this constant connection to the source of all life, and that my path was seen, known and heard, since eternity began.
It's like that feeling Luke Skywalker had, when he mastered the art of The Jedi. That clicking in, to your Destiny, that feeling of awe and sheer wonder, where everything AND nothing makes sense, that is where i strive to operate.
One moment, that I first recall feeling it, was at 14 years old. I was asked to run the walkman, at a school party. After a few songs, I noticed that the crowd was pumped and people were dancing. At that moment, I felt connected to my DJ Dad, who went to heaven, when I was an infant. Music, from day one, has been my passion. The good feelings that GREAT music stir are contagious. From 2nd grade, my fine upbringing introduced me to the art of writing and reading music. We learned to make it, a bit later. MANY, in my family tree, are in the music industry. My parents were both great, accomplished musicians. I guess it's in my genes, and I love Levi's.
Recently, I've clicked with the art of Healing through Sound. Weekly, my learning chops are honed. Daily, I now study music and the art of making it, also, making it come alive, through the Live shows. My roadie days are behind me
