Hello Guys :)
It this Video ill show you the two techniques i used when i started Finger drumming .
Finger drumming can be a pretty intimidating thing to get yourself in to specially if you are a complete beginner when it comes to playing any kind of instrument. But i belive that anyone can learn it if you put in the time.
The first time i came across Finger drumming was in 2012, when i was having fun with Drum pads 24 app for smarthphones (If you dont have a Maschine and would like to try it out yourself i advise you to download this app) , around the same time i saw first Maschine Finger drumming videos of Jeremy Ellis , Bass Kleph and other pioneers of the craft . I immediately fell for it , but i never made the decision to buy myself a Maschine and get into it, it just seemed to hard. But then about 2 years ago my friend lend me his Maschine and i progressed really quickly while he was working abroad, even so that when he returned he let me keep his untill i got my own :D Im still grateful to him that he did so . I played Bass guitar before that so i had a pretty good sens of rythm, but using your fingers to play drums and trigger samples is a completly diffrent story :) The only thing that was the same was that you need to start out SLOW ( practicing at lower BPM and with basic patterns ) and that you have fun while you are doing it . Dont get frustrated if you press the wrong pad or if you are not in time with the groove, practice makes perfect :)
I wanted to give you some backround about my finger drumming, so you can see that i wasnt born a finger drummer :) But i had to put in a lot of time and effort to get to this point, and so can You !
So i Encourage you to try it out yourself and have some fun :)
Peace and Love, Shaka ;)

This is the new Maschine Mk3 from Native Instruments , but you can find Mk2 or Micro versions online for a lot cheaper :)
good and simple tutorial. you can understand every single detail ! :)
Thank you @pandamaniahd :)
Nice groove and great tutorial!
Thank you :)
That's great. Thank's for dropping some knowledge man! Just downloaded the app. Are you able to record and sample stuff?
Thank you :)
No i think that this one comes with bunch of premade samples, but i know there are some apps where you can load your own samples. If you have an Iphone, there is an actuall Maschine app , but i think it aroun 10 $ , and i dont know what its capable of, but i gues u can chopp and play with samples.
Im glad you tried it out ;)
You actually can! It's possible to record stuff and put it on any pad you want. Like a song or some selfmade beatbox tunes ;) Cool stuff!
Great to hear that :)
Hope you are having fun :)
Even though i don't own a board, that's pretty entertaining and sounds helpful tbh.
Thank you :) you can still try the smarthphone app and have some fun ;)
Cool.... Knowledge is power. Until I am 6 feet under I will continue to learn.
