Is Charlie Puth the greatest artist of the moment?
Source: Charlie Puth new album "Voicenotes"
It's certainly a difficult question to answer in the public eye, as there are many talented artists today, especially in the genre in which Charlie plays (Pop), but here I'll explain why Charlie Puth is the greatest genius in popular music today.
Perfect Pitch
Charlie, without a doubt, is one of those musicians who are very particular and unique, not only because of his musical intelligence that he has developed over the years in conjunction with his studies (he studied at the prestigious Berklee University of Music), but also because of his physical ability that sets him apart from other musicians, and this is the "perfect pitch ", is a skill that 1 out of 10,000 people have and consists of being able to identify a note without having to have the help of another reference note, which makes it much easier to write songs and play any sound in general.
Independent and self-sufficient production
When it's time to start making a song, Charlie usually works alone, and even develops his own songs at home as well as the post-production part. Charlie owns a Home Studio in his home, where he is able to produce songs with a very high quality and he is his own producer and sound engineer; most of his songs are made almost exclusively by him.
The development of a wide variety of songs
As it has been announced in different interviews that Puth has done, he has always been looking for that style that would characterize him and therefore he is in a constant search for new rhythms along the rhythms of the past decades. Charlie, for the elaboration of his new album called "Voicenotes" (which I highly recommend) (name given because the melodies he made were recorded in his cell phone's voice notes so as not to forget them) was looking for songs he liked from different periods and he was looking to emulate the kind of rhythm they had but with his own style; in the album you can notice the presence of rhythms of songs that could have been played in the 80's, 90's and the 2000's.
For these and other reasons (personal aspects) Charlie Puth is one of the geniuses of today's music and we hope he will continue to be so.
