RE: PAPA-PEPPER INVESTIGATES: Did The Red Hot Chili Peppers Record a Song About Kurt Cobain?

in #music8 years ago

Great Post! I didn't know that.

Nirvana was the reason I started playing guitar back in the day. This has taken me on a pretty crazy adventure through life over the last 20ish years of playing. I've definitely done and seen some amazing things that I wouldn't have had the chance to if I hadn't picked up playing. All because of Kurt Cobain.

Plus I've got tickets to see The Chili Peppers in the spring.

Very interesting, I was big fans of both, but regretably never learned to play. Had you at least heard the song "Tearjerker" before? I always assumed, but never verified that Kurt was the one in the song.

Oh yes I've certainly heard the song before. I'm just not one to listen to the lyrics themselves in a song. It's actually a downside to playing guitar for me now. I hardly know the words to any song. I hear the lyrics as melodies for the most part.

Yeah, i guess I've always been a lyrics man. I can certainly appreciate the music, but i don't really even know what a note is these days.
