Three Tune Tuesday - The greatest rapper of a generation

in #music4 days ago

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do! It is nice to sit down on a Tuesday morning and listen to some tunes and I usually have them on all morning.

Our picks

This week we are all about the wonderful words of Eminem. I mean I am not sure what to say about his as way of introduction. He will go down in history as one of the most influential rappers of all time and also as one of the greatest lyricists out there. How many other rappers can you name and recognise instantly?

Song 1

I mean it starts with "can I have your attention please" it certainly did grab people attention. The simplicity of the Dre production combined with a rapper with a style of his own that is instantly recognisable and is also done with a sense of humour rather than the dark side of rap. This is still relevant today and maybe lyrically will always be relevant.

Song 2

This second song I picked I think was an interesting collab and this song was huge in the UK. Personally, I think that this collab helped to bring him to people that would not listen to "rap" music but were perfectly happy with it as it had the dull pop sensibilities of Dido....

Song 3

Such a bit song, such a riff, such a chorus. I mean this song stinks of power and is made by one of the worlds greatest rappers and lyricist who is playing at the top of his game.

We love all types of music and hope that you like our choices! If you think we are missing a great song then let us know.

Big up all the music in the world and the joy we get making and listening to it!

Very cool :)

he just is....

Definitely the best rapper.. great selections. Lose Yourself is one of my favorites

mine too!

I'm not really into rap, but I can appreciate the skills. I do think some of it gets attention for 'novelty' with the samples or guests, but he also uses humour. Some of his tracks have real power.

All three songs are very interesting and I like them a lot but the first one I will listen to again and again.
