Now steemit is getting competition from minds.com and yours.org. Haven't checked either one out yet, but it seems that things are getting interesting...
No doubt! Crypto is going to have a huge influence on social media platforms. I haven't checked out Yours yet really, but Minds is a lot of fun so far. I'll probably cross promote a lot of Steemit blog posts there, and some of their content here.
Minds has been around for a while now, but had some recent updates. They have a nicer looking site than Steemit, but I'm not sure what the earning potential is. Seems you have to pay to get many views, a bit like here :)
