Like @mipiano I arrived here via @edje 's post. Listening to this I can appreciate the effort the composers put into it .... but my appreciation levels are way low on this type of sound...05m50s in it sounds like an electronic mosquito was loose in the room during the recording.
@edje's been trying to educate me on electronic music but my ears and soul just dont want to be dragged into the light {grin}

No worries. Pan Sonic is definitely not the group I would recommend to people who aren't already into noise, industrial, or techno music. They are pretty abrasive, occasionally utilize tones are in that upper frequency range that are hard to enjoy, and use really sparse arrangements with zero conventional structures frequently relying on psychoacoustics.
Essentially, I completely understand why people don't like this type of stuff, buuuut...
I still find them super inspiring. When they are at their best there is a true weight to their sound and a purity of tone that they get coaxed out of military test equipment and esoteric gear. They were these truly singular experimentalists whose influence can't really be overstated in underground music scenes. Plus, most of these records sound amazing on big systems where you can feel the almost oppressive force on your body.
It's just definitely not the starting place I would recommend for people who don't already like experimental music. Cheers though. I hope @edje finds a group that opens that door for you.
Thanks but not neccessary .... I have enough genre's that I really love.
