God Lives Underwater
Hey steem friends. I am huge fan of 90s alternative music and I had just wanted to drop in and share a bit about a band I had been thinking about lately. God Lives Underwater. GLU is a 90s alternative rock band similar to Econoline Crush, Stabbing Westward, and Gravity Kills which were all in someways influenced by Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode. Sadly we only really have two full studio produced albums of which to enjoy from GLU because of their struggle with the music industry and the tragic death of band member David Reilly.

The first of their two main studio album's "Empty" is a really great album. The sound and the lyrics take me back to when I would get home from school, go straight to my room, throw on my headphones, crank the volume and just tune out. Empty is just one of those albums you can queue up and play through with out any skips. Every track is great and just flows into the next all the while painting a harsh dreamscape of slamming drums, weird electronic noises, and the haunting lyrics dripping of teen angst and sharp tongued f-the-world resentment of the status quo.

Where "Empty" was more of a metal sounding album GLU's next album "Life in the So Called Space Age" really steps it up with the electronic sound that was becoming more popular at the time and brought with it their first really big hit "From Your Mouth". Again with "Life in The So Called Space Age" you can really just set the stereo remote on the night stand and just escape for a while.
There are also two more non-album tracks of note that I would like to share :
