Hey Hivers!
Last week we mentioned in one of our blog posts that it was time to start getting back out into the streets and playing again. Obviously with the situation still not optimal here in Berlin, it was something we had been avoiding for many months to respect the rules and desire to keep social distance. But after having conversations with many friends and musicians around the world, we decided that it was time to start reconnecting with people from the streets and sharing our music and experiences again. We have been safely playing each of the past 3 weekends in Berlin's Treptower Park, all the while encouraging people to be respectful and mindful that we are still in the midst of a pandemic!
One thing we will say is that it has been a true blessing. Many of the musicians and performers here on Hive can likely relate to this, but the past year has been incredibly difficult if you were a performance artist. We need to feel connected with an audience again and not constantly be playing to a screen. This has been a true blessing and has given us hope that it can continue throughout the year as we move toward a "normal" life again.
