Exploring the wild coast and abandoned mines of southwest Cornwall

Hey Hivers!

After an intense period of performances and travel, we decided to take a few days to recharge in the picturesque town of St Ives, UK. This beautiful coastal haven offered us the perfect escape to reflect, rejuvenate, and soak up its stunning scenery.

Our days in St Ives were filled with moments of reflection as we gazed out over the serene blue waters. We indulged in the breathtaking views, which seemed to stretch infinitely, offering a sense of peace and inspiration. Taking refreshing jumps into the cool sea invigorated our spirits, reminding us of the simple joys of nature.

Food is always a highlight for us, and St Ives did not disappoint. We savored delicious local dishes, each meal a delightful experience that added to the overall sense of relaxation. These moments allowed us to gather our thoughts, dream about the future, and plan our next steps.

On our last day in St Ives, we embarked on a scenic drive along the coast to Botallack. The ruins of the old tin and copper mine provided a dramatic backdrop for the second half of our video for "Storm Searching." The wild landscapes, especially at sunset, were nothing short of magical. We took countless photographs, each capturing the raw beauty of the area and the essence of our time there.

As the day drew to a close, we made a spontaneous visit to a small folk club at The Count House. The intimate setting and warm reception from the club members made it an unforgettable experience. We played a few tunes, sharing our music in the cozy atmosphere before preparing for our journey east.

Our days in St Ives were exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries. We're now back on the road, feeling refreshed and ready for the adventures ahead. St Ives will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to the day we can return to its charming shores.

Stay tuned for the release of our "Storm Searching" video, and thank you for being part of our journey. Until next time!

It is nice down there. Have you been to the Minack theatre? That would be a cool place to perform. Have fun.
