Disco Tuesday! I am focusing on old stuff and classics of the Disco movement audio wise here.Hiya Music Community - I am slowly picking up again with my main area of content on Steemit which is driving music in the electronic / dance area. Tuesday is usually the day for Disco Music following the initiative of @musicgeek - this is now 6 months old and I think there is still openspaxce for more content and interaction from you guys! Let us Dance and celebrate Disco Music - who does not like to party? Given the title this is a very open one that includes tons of music styles so come on Steemians and contribute to the tag
What is Disco - is it a Dance or a Time in History?

Disco is a music genre and subculture that emerged in the mid 1960s and early 1970s from America's urban nightlife scene. It reached peak popularity between the mid-1970s and early 1980s. Disco started as a mélange of music from venues popular with African Americans, Hispanic and Latino Americans, Italian Americans, LGBT people (especially African-American and white gay men), and psychedelic hippies in Philadelphia and New York City during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Disco can be seen as a reaction to both the dominance of rock music and the stigmatization of dance music by the counterculture during this period. Several dance styles were also developed during this time, including the Bump and the Hustle.
This means Disco was a protest movement - an initiative to call out society problems, did you know that?
Seems most of us simply see Disco as a dance music style with hardly any profile but it is not - it has serious background by showing the fun side of life!
Apart from the classic artists of Disco such as Donna Summer, the Bee Gees, Gloria Gaynor, KC and the Sunshine Band, the Village People, Thelma Houston, and Chic ANYTHING you hear in a club right now, no matter if Techno, House, Trance, Hip Hop is Disco - Disco is THE Dance music of our time - believe it or not! If you have concerns please check with @mammasitta - during the time also other dance styles were created such as the Bump and the Hustle. The disco sound is typified by "four-on-the-floor" beats, syncopated basslines, and string sections, horns, electric piano, synthesizers, and electric rhythm guitars. Lead guitar features less frequently in disco than in rock.

I remember the disco era, but I was more of a rock guy. There's room for all sorts of music. Whatever makes you dance
My favorite music is rock but disco music brings back memories of my children that makes it special, especially ABA.
