Original guitar composition /// steemit exclusive

Yo it's me and I play guitar.
You're probably thinking look at this guy on a black background, does he think he's the sad guitar prince of darkness? Should I fear him because he has harmonic super powers?

Nothing of the sort, just jamming a little bit to test a wireless mic at the studio. That's all.

Good stuff man, what guitar is that?

Thanks. This is a 500$ guitar I bought 20 years ago. The brand is Vesper. Nothing special but I like it. I built guitars and other instruments before and I will post some later.

You mean you're not the prince of darkness? That's disappointing :)

ah, well.... I guess I could be.....

This is amazing wow

Thanks @waynevan welcome to steemit and remember me as your first follower.

Well done

Thank you Danny for stopping by. I ride a longboard and a cruiser skate all the time :)

the lighting is art. nice work.

thanks. to be honest in my studio, we sometimes do very complex lighting for fashion or commercials. But for this, I just turned on a spot that was there without moving it....

Excellent mon bon gros bovin décédé. J'adore! =)

Merci un commentaire en français ça fais du bien. J'ai vu ton track drafting, je fais du tapping aussi je vais poster bientôt. Aussi j'aime la job de peinture sur ta guitare. bovin décédé c'est mon pseudonyme.

Nice playing!

thanks man. I really appreciate you stopping by. I saw you have an old school fender on your Polaroid photo. It made me think of a fender mustang I use to have 28 years ago (made in US original 1968 in red). I needed money so bad at the time that I sold it, unwillingly, at the pawn shop. It looked like this:

Thanks, yeah it's a Fender Jaguar, I bought it at guitar center for like 700 bucks last year. The polaroid was taken a few months ago (I bought a polaroid on Ebay took that shot before it broke down) The Jaguar in your pic is beautiful, the guitars back then had better craftsmanship. They were thicker, stronger, better put together. Sad you had to part ways with it!

that is true. What I liked the most about it was the neck was so comfortable, incredible.
I studied lutherie which is the art of making musical instruments. I brought photos at work today so I can scan them and post them here soon. So at the time I needed to sell that fender to pay for my school fees (in lutherie) so if you happen to see that future post of mine you will see that I turned that mustang into a few instruments...

Me like! It's got a haunting Irish/Celtic vibe to it.
What tuning are you in?
Nice work!

thank you and good question. I developed a lot of tuning and change constantly so it become hard for me to keep track. I will say I often drop on an open D tuning. Or I drop lower in C. So in short I don't have a really good answer I fear. But if you are interested I can post a list of my 5 favorite tuning of all time here with demo for each one. I think that would be a good video and if anyone want this upvote that reply and I might do it. Because my first language is french, I needed to find this to answer. Note conversion for all language:

Hi again. thanks. you are awesome, kind and talented. I will keep track of what you are doing.

This jam is badass, man

FIrst I checked your post and I am so happy that I found musicians that are more hairy then me !!!! If I have any knowledge of music it's because I when to metal school. No joke. I played speed metal for a long time and this is how I learned scales etc... I am honor to be your first follower. From now on I have your back. welcome & thank you.

Thanks, man! Its nice to see a fellow musician who's almost as hairy as myself. Im new to Steemit so I thank you for your sub. Keep up the great jams!

will do and I am watching your new video right now and having a blast...

This is beautiful! Did you study guitar anywhere?

I am autodictate. I took some guitar classes in highschool and my teacher told me you have no talent and you'll never be good. I have fun playing a lot of different instruments now, so fuck him. I wanted to prove him wrong for many years but now I couldn't care less. I did study lutherie which is the art of making musical instruments, I will post about that maybe this weekend. I really appreciate that you stopped by.

Very nice, it reminds me a bit of James Blackshaw, not sure if you know him? I've posted a guitar improv that formed the basis of an instrumental peice of mine: https://steemit.com/music/@thebigdelay/guitar-improv-and-wonky-beats

It's a more rock-influenced, jagged sound, but I'd love to know your thoughts on it.

Yo thanks for being here. don't know James Blackshaw but I'll check it out. Your track is good, a little dirty but I like dirty.

Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to listen. I've followed you...

good sound!

Thank you really kind. I am posting more of my original music soon.
