You Make Me Feel Like Dancing


This song is about a girl that brought happiness into Leo's life was his first #1 hit on the charts, soon followed by his other #1 "When I Need You".

Sayer wrote the song with Vini Poncia, who co-wrote the with the band Kiss on songs "I Was Made For Loving You" and "Sure Know Something."

"You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" earned Sayer a 1978 Grammy for best R&B song.


When I Need You


This was Leo Sayer's fist hit that he did not co-write. Albert Hammond wrote this song about Hammond's experiences being on the road away from home and his loved ones.
