Discovered an awesome site for music lovers. Usually in a search of good tunes I can find my self wandering on Youtube's darkest corners and still find nothing. The site name is Every Noise at Once and it is created as a word map of names of different genres.
"This is an ongoing attempt at an algorithmically-generated, readability-adjusted scatter-plot of the musical genre-space, based on data tracked and analyzed for 1521 genres by Spotify. The calibration is fuzzy, but in general down is more organic, up is more mechanical and electric; left is denser and more atmospheric, right is spikier and bouncier.."
Every Noise at Once

You can click anything to hear an example of what it sounds like and expand a genre to see a map of its artists.
Enjoy exploring.

There are some rather dissonant sounds next to one another, but the concept is intriguing.
Yep, you're right, the main map is a little bit fuzzy. There is also an option where you can list all the genres and sort them by a few categories or break them down by strength of association with countries. (:
very cool. Thanks!
