Edwars Christoper Sheeran (Ed Sheeran) was born on February 17, 1991, in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in England. When he was younger, he started playing guitar, showing his musical talent. At the age of 11, Sheeran met singer and songwriter Damien Rice backstage at one of Rice's shows, and the young musician found extra inspiration. As the story goes, Rice tells Sheeran to write her own music, and Sheeran the next day does just that.

Without any promotion, the record reached No. 2 on the iTunes chart, and he signed with Atlantic Records in the same month.
With Atlantic, Sheeran released her major debut album, +. Instant hit, the album sold over a million copies in the UK in the first six months alone. Sheeran started writing songs with bigger artists, such as One Direction and Taylor Swift, and supported Swift in the 2013 tour.
Sheeran's subsequent success continued with her song "I See Fire" featured in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and in June 2014, the next album, x, appeared, debuted at # 1 in the US and UK The project featured three Top singles 10 - "Dont," "Photograph" and "Thingking of Loud" - with the latter winning the Grammy for Song of the Year and Best Solo Pop Performance in 2016.
In 2016, Sheeran took a hiatus to work on her third album,. In January 2017, she released two singles from the album "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill," which debuted at number one and number six, respectively, on Billboard Hot 100, Sheeran released her in March 2017 , and Announced 2017 world tour.
