Chester Bennington, lead singer of the band Linkin Park, according to the website TMZ. reporting he was found dead in a private residence in Palo Verdes Estates, Los Angeles.

"Shortly after 9 a.m. this morning, we were notified by law enforcement of a death in Palos Verdes Estates," Brian Elias, chief of operations for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, tells Rolling Stones. "We responded to the scene and unfortunately confirmed that Mr. Chester Bennington was deceased at the scene."
Bennington, a father of six children, struggled with drug and alcohol addictions and revealed in a past interview that he had been sexually abused as a child. As a teenager, he took to the habit of drugs to deal with emotional distress and worked many jobs in order to pay for his drug habit. He was a lonely child and hardly had any friends.

Bennington wrote an open letter to Chris Cornell on the latter's death, saying: "You have inspired me in ways you could never have known... I can't imagine a world without you in it."
Cornell will celebrate his 53rd Birthday on Thursday. He hanged himself after a concert in Detroit on May 17th.
Linkin Park, has sold over 70 million albums worldwide and has won two Grammy Awards. The group rose to international fame with their debut album, Hybrid Theory (2000), which was certified diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and multi-platinum in several other countries. The band released its seventh studio album, One More Light, in May.

Very sad news! Linkin Park is one of my favourite bands. He will be missed, amazing person and amazing voice. RIP Chester.
