Q for Quality - Q Acoustic 1050
Another Day, another deal.
Whilst I was enjoying my Monitor Audio's a lot, there is always room for improvement. So one day I was browsing the second hand market (like evereday) and came across these clean looking pair of floorstanders:
( sorry for the long scroll)
Happens to be that this seller was also interested in my Monitor Audio's, and wanted to trade them. Keep in mind my small bookshelves costed about the same as these full size floorstanders, about $500 new.
As the self proclaimed trader that I am I didn't hesitate for a second and we traded our speakers.
Sound quality
The speakers struck me immediately as extremely smooth and clean sounding. Not a edgy high to be heard, but also not a bass note missing (for a 500 dollar floorstander). This sounds like audio bliss, but sadly enough, that wasn't the case. They tended to sound "boring", which is an exaggeration, but in comparison to other products in the same price category you can find more "fun" speakers. The overall sound quality was rock solid nevertheless. You can compare it with a Volkswagen Polo. It's decent, better overall quality than it's price competitiors, but lacks that emotion. That emotion that maybe a small Alfa Romeo Mito can give you, or a Fiat 500, which have their flaws, but you don't mind them because of their excelling characteristics in other fields.

Bought some just like that from a guy selling them out of his truck in the walmart parking lot.
BTW, you are my first REAL comment XD, Cheers!
Hmm, White Van speakers are to be wary about XD, did he also sell you a 1500 watt home cinema setup in a box the size of a shoebox?
