Every Monday I intend to post a music video (and a few words explaining my choice) I invite you to join me by doing same in the comments section below. As the forum (hopefully) grows my aim is that we begin to inspire our fellow Steemians to broaden their musical horizons by listening to the music that inspires us. The only thing I ask is that (where possible) every song we listen to is played nice and loudly on headphones or speakers in order that we capture its true essence.
As more Steemians join this venture there is also going to be the possibility of being rewarded for our musical tastes via the amount of upvotes each song receives. That said please never feel awkward about posting a track, a guilty pleasure or even your own musical ventures. I have an extremely wide range of musical interests but also understand that music like beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. As such I may play my chosen song, but who am I to define what constitutes good music.
Really nice track @perceptualflaws, I had not heard of them either so great to now have someone new to check out ..
Mine is a a lot different from this, but I think you will like it

Great sounds, beats and flow .. managed to catch one of my all-time favourite MC's at the weekends festival, so I'm both primed for and loving this track! Love the Manchester Orchestra track, the haunting guitar, the vocals, and the lyrics ...wow.
Here's something a bit more upbeat I remember from the Clacton days.
Hey @deirdyweirdy .. hope you've enjoyed a good weekend? Mine was great! :D Glad you enjoyed my choice this week .. it is indeed a hauntingly beautiful song! And thanks for sharing this brilliant slice of dance music history, if I had a pound for every time I've danced to this I'd be sunning myself on a tropical island lol Loving the uplifting energy on this one .. really infectious, and a track that could, can and will continue to fill dance floors the world over! Thanks for the music my friend .. really enjoyed this trip down memory lane!!
I was hoping to see your post today! Have I got a treat!!!
Hahaha Don't know how Trent would feel about that lol .. but personally I thought it was hilarious .. plus it had surprisingly high production values and sounds .. win-win! lol Thanks for the music my friend .. this was one raised a big big smile on a very tired face! lol
Your choice was very interesting, quite a mix of influences and unknown to me.
Thought a wee blast from the past would work. Enjoy Bert :)
Hey @ricia good to see you back for #musicmonday .. glad you enjoyed my choice this week .. they have created some great music! I do know Bert and I love the era .. but as yet I've not really dived headlong into his back catalogue .. but this excellent track is as good a starting place as any!! Really loving the inventive guitar work on this one. :) Always wanted to play the guitar (hence why I really appreciate those that can) but never really had the patience! lol Thank you for this one @ricia .. a beautifully composed slice of music/guitar history! :)
Hi, I love it. Actually composed by Davey Graham (well worthy of exploration) but the Jansch arrangement was always the preferred one. They played together often. You might know Pentangle - that was Bert, John Renbourn Jaqui McShea and ? Anyway, Basket of Light album was my favourite, if you want to try that. Keep meaning to ask - what happened to the biker guy living in Poland? Steemit seems to have died!
Here is Bert Jansch's last album before he died. I think you will enjoy it (apart from stupid ads and pauses), hope so anyway;)
Ah love Manchester orchestra. Haven’t heard them in a bit, they shut off the last alt rock station here in Boston earlier this year.
Been a while my friend how are you doing? Business is busy I’m sure! I haven’t had much time lately to devote to Steem, I keep missing music Monday!
Check out this song for this week albeit a bit late
Starfucker - Rawnald Gregory Erickson
Hey my friend!! Sorry for the late ears on this one .. I was away when you messaged, and I've been delayed in getting back .. hence no #musicmonday last week .. so I'm with you on having less time to steem, but hey it is the Summer! :) Yeah, Manchester Orchestra are great musicians .. really take you to another place. Digging your choice as well, Starfucker .. love it!! lol Hazy, dreamlike melodies .. after a busy day, just what the Dr ordered! Never heard of these guys either .. so I'll enjoy checking out what else they've done. Thank you for the music @cmplxty .. really enjoyed this one.
I would not mind having someone to bounce ideas off, for the good of humanity, I can think of nobody else I would choose as of now, if you would? [email protected] if I hear nowt, I know you are not interested, all the same, fingers crossed here.
