7-Day Music Wayback Challenge: Day 1~2PM-Hands Up

Ok, @erodedthoughts nominated me for this 7-day challenge and I accept it.

This means that I will dedicate the whole week to this challenge, and will continue with my articles thereafter.

My pick for the day:

2PM - Hands up

Close to finishing "High School", I found K-Pop very addictive. On the final graduation ceremony, we all were to choose a song snippet of our choice which would be played when we were each called to receive our certificate. I was one of the guys teachers as well as many pupils hated, and they didn't leave out opportunities to show me that. So I guess my song choice was naturally quite influenced by the unjustice I felt over the course of my school life, and this song was in a way my final "couldn't care less" statement. Most pupils and their parents were rather snobby, and the moment my song snippet was being played it appeared to me as if the attendants, pupils with parents and teachers, were not so delighted by my song nor by my person, which probably reached the apex when I couldn't help but put my hands up when the chorus was "Put your hands up and get your drinks up!"
Anyways, the school director's glance at me while handing me over the graduation certificate was more than revealing:"Take it and never show up again!"
And that's even though I was never doing anything wrong. I guess they were stuck in all kinds of misprojections placed over me :)

And you? I don't want to forcefully nominate someone, so should anyone read this post at all and feel inspired by this challenge, take it! :)

The rules:

Choose one song from your high-school/college years.
• Write a few words about who made you listen to this song for the first time, what this song means to you (was it a breakup song? you blasted it at 100% on your audio system when you were partying with your friends?) whatever you want.
• Write your text while listening to the song. As soon as the song ends, wrap up what you where writing and submit it.
• Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated.
• Mention one person who should do this on each day.
• Tag it with #musicwaybackchallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post.
