Feel free to ask, beg, negotiate for upvotes all you want. It's not gonna be sustainable in the long run.

There should only be one reason for people to upvote you; they find value in your content.

Whether it's because what you post is so great that people get wowed, or you've been an overall solid Steemian that people know who you are and chose to upvote your content to support you.

  1. Start with making sure your content is great. While you dont need to be the next Tim Ferriss or Casey Neistat, make sure you at least put yourself into other people's shoe and look at your post from an outsider perspective; would people read your stuff?

  2. You think you have great content, awesome. But the best theater shows are useless if there is no audience. Build your audience (make friends, write what your target demography wants to read), join a community, get people to know your name so that they'd follow you and read your stuff. Would you be much more curious of what your favorite Steemian has posted compared to some guy in "new" section?
