I meant generally. Like is it beneficial for the clothes if I just stop using a washing machine or is it better for the clothes for longevity to use a washing machine.
Aah, a good answer. I don't want to hate on the other answers, but they most talk about what is more beneficial for the person than the clothes, but I wanted to know about the clothes.
But that is really good to know that by hand it is better. I don't really trust a washing machine to do quality work.
So for the clothes themselves, there isn't a difference. I prefer by hand, I don't have that much to wash, and I like doing it with my hands rather than a machine that is most costly.

Machine wash reduces the longevity in general as compared to hand wash.

Oh, the question was more, what is beneficial for the clothes itself.
