RE: Musing Posts

steps to counteract the influence of racism or the influence of groups that often act racist.

1. Remember well that all humans are born equal and equal. This is found in all texts of the scriptures of any religion and according to the declaration of human rights compiled by the United Nations.

2. Read books and listen to music that promotes anti-racism practices. Legendary singer, Michael Jackson is one of the most often promoted in the world to avoid racism and discrimination.

3. Become a smart community! Some racist groups often pretend to be religious groups. Even though they are hiding their own agenda or group interests.

4. Make friends with people who have different backgrounds (race, ethnicity, and religion).

5. If someone tries to practice discrimination and racism on you, fight bravely. Let them know that you reject all forms of racism. Tell them that the country's constitution was built with the spirit of anti-racism and anti-discrimination.

6. If you argue with other people who have different races with you, never use a racist approach or express racist words to him. Argue with an adult attitude.

7. Ask each other and explain. Never hesitate to ask your friends who are different about their background. For example, you have a Chinese friend, often asking questions about Chinese culture. Likewise the opposite if someone asks you.

8. Learn openly to learn and understand the religion of others. This practice is often suggested by former Indonesian President KH Abdurrahman Wahid aka Gusdur. Learning about other religions does not mean you have to convert. By studying other religions, you will better understand their way of thinking so that tolerance will be maintained.
