That's a sound piece of advice @cryptoandcoffee, My step father has just said the same thing to me while I was visiting tonight.

he came off his motorbike when he was a teenager and has always had problems.

finally he went to see a private consultant who scrapped both his knees, it has been about 15 years since he had it done but it needs doing again as he is starting to get pain. both his knees are the size of balloons and he doesn't even make a fuss about it, I wouldn't have even known if I hadn't have brought it up to him.

I was at work earlier and I have had to walk a lot of steps and my knee is in so much pain, I have strapped it up and put some deep heat cream on it and taken the normal pain killers but I am hurting.

Wish me look for a good nights sleep as I am going to need it.

Thanks for your answer it has helped a lot :D

I don't like having operations but this is a simple procedure. Just do one at a time they are cruel as they make you walk within hours after the operation but you will be fine in no time. it took me about 3 weeks before I was comfortable to do walking and a little jogging. Once the one is ok then do the other and you will be like new. It was the best thing I ever did. I am not sure if the cartilage issues would even show on the x ray as my specialist said let us take a look without x rays.
