Well yes as a matter of fact it can. You see smoking has some very adverse effects on human health, and some of these effects may result in tiredness and weakness.
First things first, smokers tend to have shortness of breath and this in turn reduces their overall oxygen intake. Oxygen is a the center of energy metabolism in the body so if you can't take in enough oxygen then fatigue won't be too far behind
Secondly, the addictive ingredient or component of cigarettes is nicotine and yes in the short run it will actually give you a bit of a boost by relieving stress and thus making you function better, but the problem is that this effect is only short lived and the adverse effects of nicotine are far worse. After the initial feel good phase, nicotine actually has a bit of a "depressor effect" which lowers energy levels and feel good hormones which will probably leave you frustrated and tired till you get another dose of it.
Finally, smoking weakens the body in general because it's harmful to our body tissues and organs, and weak internals = weak human being. For the sake of your own health and wellbeing, I'll advice that you stay clear of cigarettes, 5 minutes of happiness will probably bring you a life time of regret.
