Absolutely not. Musing should be a way of knowledge sharing and helping each other with our personal experiences to work towards a common good.
The upvotes are nice, but the primary function of this brilliant DApp that we all love to use should be shared knowledge and we should NOT be purely financially motivated.
Offering referral rewards would encourage spammers and all of us users should be already encouraging others to join in on our blogs on the main Steemit site.
