They are casual about SBD peg otherwise it is not a rocket science for a community like steemit Inc. They know about it and many times it was debated and discussed by leading witnesses but no such development was done in this regard. If they really make SBD pegged properly just like USDT, that will be good for this community.

During the first 6 months of steemit, steem was around 0.2 to 0.3 usd, despite of the low of value of steem, most of the authors were quite happy during those days. So the time has come to return to the original basics and let market decide the steem price but SBD should always be pegged to 1 usd.

I consider cash to be an indispensable backup system. What do you if a natural disaster or a crisis of some kind hits and electronic payment systems stop working? Or what if you've come to rely on mobile pay systems and then your phone battery runs out? What are you going to do? I also dislike the complete lack of financial privacy that comes with having only electronic means of payment available. I would never touch any of the mobile payment systems offered by banks. Cash is king. I've never felt unsafe carrying the kind of small amounts of cash that I usually carry with me. I think we're under enough surveillance already.

Musing is evolving and so are its community and users. Some old/new thoughtful users/community members are taking musing to new levels as they are extending their approach.

This is a good strategy ... Initially to reward handsome for getting more and more audience and when this target is achieved, start raising the bar. More the users more the competition. But this strategy only works if a platform has a good basic theme as musing does.

You're right to say, "the competition made some positive effect on the quality of answers".

I agree with you about the quality of the most of the questions are not good but some of the questions are simply brilliant & interesting. I am almost new on musing but started to see that with new users, quality/level of the questions is raising day by day.

you can argue that it initially took quite an effort for the normal layman to acclimatize to the facebook ecosystem too, only that has already passed and the only people who are still new to Facebook are kids who will eventually sign up to Facebook (Probably, facebook is shit anyway and they like Tik Tok better).

I wont worry about about UX though, it's just a matter of entrepreneurs figuring the best Dapp that uses Steem Blockchain in the back end. Current Dapps are still quite not there yet since it looks like everyone is trying to reinvent the wheel.

Verbalize what you want to happen if you can't stand it. See what reactions you are going to elicit and then work out a solution from them. If cheating became an option, then so are the consequences of it. Cheating is just an excuse not to do something better.

I didn't ruin anything! The question looked unreasonable to me. Every country is treated on steem equally. I'm also a Nigerian and I follow some Nigerian here on steemit that are doing very well. Nobody cares where you're from here. If you think Nigeria is the reason people are treating you some how, remove Nigeria from your profile and see if anything will change. Resorting to flagging me an honest response says a lot about your person. Now I see why you said they're treating you like shit!

I heard that you get the full $1 amount even if SBD is at 92 c. I will look into it as it is very beneficial right now. Thanks for the answer. There is so much to learn on this place even after 8 months.

yes, blokchain thinks of SBD as always beeing worth 1$ in that conversion.

The risky part about it is that the STEEM price at which the conversion is done is median price of STEEM during those 3.5 days. So, if over 3 days steem is trading high, then it suddenly drops, this conversion would lose you a lot of money because median is high while price is low.
