RE: Musing Posts

Today i'm gonna share with you my body transformation journey!

before I discovered weight training, i was a fat boy.

Faced the same fat boy problems that most of my chubby bros face. I wore vests to cover my moobs, wore tshirts when I went swimming and couldn't stop at just one dry fruit gulab jamun every night.
The solution to moving away from that is diet & exercise. There's no quick fat loss secret. And I've spoken about that enough. What I haven't spoken about enough is the lack of discipline that i had back then. Life was full of "One more beer" and "one more cheesecake". There was no clear goal and more importantly, NO PURPOSE.
Having a fit lifestyle has literally created a career for me. But its given me something much bigger than just a career. As much as fitness has trained my body, its trained my mind even more.
Every year, I'm more focussed on my goals, every year I eat cleaner and every year the process gets so much easier.
Remember, fitness should be a permanent change in your lifestyle. Not a temporary activity to get to your physical goals. Enjoy the process and use it as a teacher. The discipline and focus you develop through all the lifting and dieting will have a carry over to the rest of your life.
The biggest thing I've come to learn over this journey is that if you truly want peace, you need to have a purpose. Even if it's as silly as getting a 6 pack or a thigh gap, you'll eventually learn to find peace in your pursuit. So even if you don't care about how you look, embrace a fit lifestyle JUST to develop as a person.
