Nope. Just as we require oxygen to live healthy we require sleep to maintain our brains functionality. Their have been experiments on humans which made them sleep deprived for a number of days the results pointed out that the subjects lost touch with reality became paranoid and violent. You might want to search Russian Sleep Deprivation experiments.

But the real question is why would you or anyone want to avoid sleeping ?? The 16 Hrs a day we have as active life is enough to accomplish anything you desire. You are human not a machine you don't need to work 24*7..
