My little story about the making of my first game mobile app

in #my8 years ago (edited)

I am 20 years old currently, but when I first thought of the idea about making an app I was about 19 soon turning 20. I actually started making my first mobile app for android about April of 2016. It took me 4 months to learn about mobile gaming and how to create a mobile game from scratch using code knowledge. Mind you, I had absolutely no experience in mobile gaming whatsoever and I just so happened to research all about it using Google, Reddit, and Stackflow. I used to ask a lot of questions through Stackflow and developers would usually reply and give advice or some sort of help leaving the rest for me to figure out my own. I did figure out everything I needed and I worked my way busting my a@@ day and night just to operate this game. Lonely nights and straining of eyes had me restless. I made my game using game maker and through lots of effort, dedication and hard work. I have finally created my game. I never went to college to learn this, didn't have no experience, and I knew nothing about coding. But i tried and showed effort. August of 2016, i launched my game Hop Frog its a nice little game whereas you hop over the obstacles, the longer you last in the game the higher your score. I have had about 217 installs But now I am working on newer games seeing that this was my first start at mobile gaming. I now have interest in Mobile Game Design as a profession. That's my story :)

Keep sharing your journey. I am also trying to learn programing on my own after a full days work. It is difficult to stay motivated, just taking one day at a time.

Thank you for the support, Yes it is very difficult indeed, I am taking it slow each day. I have seen improvement Now im trying to optimize soon so that it can be available on other devices
