"Abèokùtá ìlú-ègbá

The name of my city is Abèokùtá situated in the heart of Ogun State Nigeria West Africa.
Abèokùtá is occupied by the Egba people who speak more deep Yoruba well I don't have to bore you with the explanations of how Yoruba is being splitted into different tongues though there over 500+ languages in Nigeria so maybe we will be talking about that some other time.
How Abèokùtá was originated
I will say that the Egba people are like subgroup of the Yoruba people(An ethnic group located in the western region of Nigeria and situated at the Ogun central senatorial district comprising of six local government)
The Egba people were originally under the phone state empire but became independent in the 19th century after the Idahome war, In which successfully part due to the protection of the olumo rock, which led to the founding of the city of Abèokùtá.
