Just wanna share with you photos and recipe of my oven roasted lechon belly that I have cooked for our last New Year's Eve celebration. And also my entry for the contest of @anomadsoul.
This dish is highly requested by my family so I thought of making one for them.
For the ingredients salt, ground pepper, lemon grass, onion, onion leeks, oil, soy sauce and some cooking string.
Before we start preparing, preheat first the oven.
To start of, rub the pork belly with salt, pepper and sugar.
Then chopped some lemon grass, onion leeks and onion and lay it on the pork belly.
When everything is laid in, slowly fold the pork belly and tie it up with cooking string.
Rub the skin now with some soy sauce and oil.
Now we're all set to put it inside the preheated oven.
Put a baking tray with water and some of the remaini23ng ingredients below the pork belly to make it moist and to add more flavor.
Set the oven in a low heat for 2 hours. Then set it again to a maximum heat for more than an hour to make the skin crispy.
