My 2018: A Tour around my town: Sabang the Northern Tip island of Sumatera a paradise for sea traveling.

Aceh is the northern province of Indonesia that consist of 23 district, with 58,376.81 km2 area . Aceh is surround by the beautiful sea and bordering with the Malacca Strait and the Andaman Sea. In the tip of the island there is a separate island that consist only two sub district and with153.00 km2 area. In the past all the pilgrimage from sumatera and java island Indonesia goes to mecca for performing hajj through sabang island that why aceh called “ Serambi Mekah” aceh is the way out for sailing destination to mecca Saudi Arabia.

Sabang Island is a beautiful island with so many visiting objects to enjoy. But most of it is a beautiful view of beach. I travel to sabang recently with my family we stay there for 5 days, we stay at the villa near to the iboih beach the place is so fascinating when you open the window you can feel the wind come with the sea smell.

To reach sabang island you can use three alternative transportation from Banda Aceh the capital city of Aceh Province, you can sail by ferry boat if you want to take your car to sabang, or go by passenger ship if you travel with a group of friends and family and by air plane. To reach sabang using ferry boat you might be spend two hour to arrive in sabang, and if you sail by passenger ship it’s only take 45 minute to arrive at the balohan harbor.

Destination Object

There are many place you can visit while you travel to sabang, the most popular place that tourist visit is Iboih beach, Rubiah Island, Gapang Island, Japanese fortress, Sumur Tiga beach, Gua Sarang and sabang fair. Sabang island is separate island that surround by beautiful place for diving and snorkeling. The view of coral reefs and marine biota is an interesting to observe. There are many place for rent the snorkeling and diving equipment if you didn’t bring it with you on holiday. The price also affordable.Sabang also has many resort, villa, hotel and homestay. You can chose it depend on your budget, iboih beach provide a lot of hotel to booking and the view was incredible you will come again to visit sabang.

Food

The Food and beverage price in sabang is normal, so don’t worry you have to pay with three times expensive like in the other place, because the people in sabang is very charming and they was very kind to the tourist domestic tourist or international tourist. The food that you will always having is seafood menu, shrimp, fresh fish, crab, and sea shell. But you will also find another kind of food next to your home stay or hotel.
