Greetings dear community Steemit, today I come to speak of Cumaná, my hometown, which means union of the sea and the river, which is one of the main geographical features of my city, the meeting of the river Manzanares, which has its origin in the Serranía of Turimiquire and after traveling more than 70 km and draining a basin of about 1000 km², it flows into the Gulf of Cariaco, in the Caribbean Sea. The river crosses the city of Cumaná "A song of the same title (Rio Manzanares) was very famous in the mid-twentieth century, not only in Venezuela but in other countries, as can be seen in a version of it made in 1958 by the Sonora Matancera in the voice of Víctor Piñero ".

One of the main tourist attractions of my city are its beautiful beaches, but this is not its only attributes. If you are passionate about history or poetry, you would like to know that in the history of our city there are many poets recognized both nationally and internationally as Andres Eloy Blanco, you can take a tour of the historic center of Cumana and re-engage with its history.

If you want a panoramic view of the city from the San Antonio de La Eminencia Castle, you can get it, this castle is from the colonial era, it is still very well preserved, here you will find galleries of arts if you like paintings.

Nearby you can also take a walk outdoors for its plant lung, Guaiqueri Park, a national park within the city full of vegetation, and spaces to recreate.

Also in the very center of the city perpendicular to the Guaiqueri park and the historic center is the Plaza Ayacucho in Homage to Abel of America "Antonio José de Sucre", hero of the country, one of our liberators, and liberator of America. Here you can visit his house museum which is very well preserved in time.

As for our gastronomy because being a coastal city, there are plenty of meals prepared with marine resources, such as fish, seafood, oysters, etc. There are many alternatives for those who visit us, beaches, river, mountain, among others. To others the most beautiful women of Venezuela are here.
