You climbed San Jacinto? That's awesome! I love the San Jacinto wilderness too. Unlike the San Jacinto wilderness there ARE bears in the San Gorgonio wilderness. But not a lot of 'em, and they're black bears which are usually not aggressive. To be bear safe just counterbalance your food in a tree at night or bring a bear canister.

Oh I only wish lol. I was referring to the photo that you shared of San Jacinto was gorgeous. Highest peak I climbed so far was a volcano that I shared last year and last one was the 1000 steps to the three crosses in Mt. Humarap. About the bears didn't know the black bears are not aggressive. Everytime I see videos of camping in the wilderness, I always think about the bears. If ever we go backpacking in the wilderness, we'll look you up to ward off the bears lol. Cheers!
