Choosing a career is one big hell of decision to make.
Do you know that millions of people today are not happy with what they do right now?
That's why they get bored and always wait for 4pm or 6pm to hit the clock and they head home.
The main reason why people do not enjoy their career is because of their earlier decisions in life, probably their parent influenced them or told them to do what they (parent) wanted, rather than what you love.
Five years ago, i was just a student studying Electrical Engineering at University of Lagos before i got addicted with the Radio Mic.
Initially, i thought of how i will switch from Engineering to Communication, and worst of all, suspend my 3years in school already.
On a lighter note, i never loved what i was learning, i always see myself in the, radio studio, talking and making people happy.
Well, i took a bold step and told my parent about my career switch, very much upset, my dad said am on my own, my mom was coward from the voice of my dad.
I prayed to God.
In 2013, i picked up Neco form from my personal pocket, and registered for the examination as well as Jamb. My parent said alot, even my Uncle, that i won't survive in what am doing. But i told them that my paasion is there, my addiction is the Mic.
Successfully, i sat for Neco Examinations and came out with 7C's and 1F which was in yoruba language.
Months later i sat for Jamb at Calabar since that was the only available centre in Nigeria then due to the introduction of CBT.
I had 231 and my parent were still not convinced that i can make it.
Later that year, i sat for m y Post UTME, at University of Uyo, to be honest, i was scared. Scared that if i fail am dead, but when the result came out i had 278.
My mom started believing in me even my dad even though he was annoyed of the fees i will waste.
Oops! Did i tell you i lost my girlfriend then? Oh yes she left cause of my silly and visionless decision according to her.
But today, am a graduate with 3.01 CGPA, have won best Uniuyo Presenter twice this year.
Currently my parent respect my decisions, and have met people that i wont have met. If i were to be in Unilag i wont have joined Steemit.
So next time think about your career and do what you love.
I enjoy my career, it's my passion my addiction.
