It wasn't the worst of it...she had several open shrapnel wounds on her back, and several family members to bury, all at the time of this period in her life - so that didn't even begin to register on 'the trauma' scale (of an adolescent).
How is she going now?
I haven't spoken to her in 6 or 7 years - she was doing well.
