First Words
I’ll introduce myself with this quote, from my all-time favorite writer. It’s about seizing opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and actually seeing obstacles as opportunities themselves. It’s about interpreting life situations correctly and adapting ourselves to events as they unfold.
This is the mentality that I have been attempting to follow for most of my life, and that took me from growing up in a small town in northern Italy to pursuing the American Dream in the East Coast of the Unites States, where I have been living for the past 11 years.
It’s always been fascinating to me to meet people from all over the world, many sharing experiences similar to mine, and how deeply interconnected us human beings are even when we don’t know each other.
About Me
I’m an accountant who works with Artificial Intelligence, a guitar player, a Christian, a husband, a fitness enthusiast, an aspirant trader, a wannabe-writer, a soccer player who hung up his boots, a Spartan racer, a crypto investor, a horror movie fan, a food lover…and many more other things.
Actually, these are things I DO, not necessarily who I AM. I do not know who I am, after all, who really does? That’s kind of the point of living our lives, chasing that answer that probably will never get answered, and maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be.
What Am I Doing Here
Well, I like to write. I do not claim to be a good writer, and part of it is because English is not my main language (Italian is). I do, however, enjoy challenging myself in doing things I know I’m not the best at.
And I enjoy sharing my opinions as well as learning other’s, which is why I’ve decided to put myself to the test in the world of blogging.
There are so many topics I’m very interested in and that I’d like to write about, one of them being crypto in general. This is a fascinating world that has captivated my attention greatly in the past couple of years and that has become close to mainstream since the March 2020 pandemic. Close friends of mine all of a sudden started asking me about crypto and investing and all sorts of related stuff, and as new as I am to the space as compared to those who were around since the previous bull markets, I am still the first person among my circle who had gotten involved in it.
The blockchain technology in general is the future and it is already starting to pervade so many aspects of our lives, though so new. We’re pioneers.
NFTs are going to change the way we go about our daily activities, from booking a ticket for an event to receiving healthcare, from the tools we use to prove ownership and identity to how we play games.
I have started my blog by telling my journey with Splinterlands, and hopefully from here I will expand the scope of my writing and share my thoughts on other crypto-related subjects, and more.
In the meanwhile, it is a great pleasure to introduce myself to this community and I am excited for the days to come!
