I was called Inday Clara from the previous platform. However, a shorter nickname seem fitting now that I think I'm adulting. So I'm now open to being called CLARA. It's nice to reintroduce yourself since I know I'm not the same person I used to be since I started blogging 3 years ago. That goes for all the people I used to know here. Everyone has evolved beautifully for the past years and I'm proud to say I have too.

That is what you would usually see on my dating app profile.😂 I didn't seem to flourish in that arena for a couple of years so I decided to become a Plantita instead. Will proudly show my plant babies in another post. But trust me, I love being single. Over the past years, I got to know and love the real me. I learned to enjoy my own company and know how to be truly happy by unapologetically being me.
That being said, I'm now proud to say that I'm into tarot and oracle cards. My love for tarot reading was introduced to me by my late aunt 6 years ago. She was the one who I could talk to about all non-traditional topics. It was also through her that I got to learn about crystals so I've started to collect mine too. I also just recently bought sage and palo santo and cleansed myself and our home from negative energies.
I've been studying on how to evolve spiritually and practicing my psychic gifts. I'm on my 6th day of Abundance meditation by Deepak Chopra which is on spotify, been doing Twin Hearts meditation every morning, and gone back to my yoga practice. And my incense sticks just arrived today! Tried the frankincense-myrrh scent just now while I'm writing this and it smelled so good.
All these esoteric things, I used to hide from my family and friends. But now, I openly tell people about this side of me (that I'm a witch 😜), and it's liberating to be just honest and open about it. Enjoyed sharing about this the other day with my friend @ybanezkim26. And as I've told him, hope I can find my tribe here to learn more, share and write about all this.
Family Background? Dad is the best! He is psychic too. Besides work, he loves carpentry . My mom is way cooler. Me and my siblings had the privilege to grow up with a hands-on mom. Over the years, she learned to sew clothes to earn income. She loves gardening. She helps me with my plant babies. I have five siblings. Back then when we were kids, we used to fight a lot. But things changed now that we are all adults, diplomatic conversations usually prevail during our family gatherings. Oh, and I have one nephew/niece coming up!
But the star of our family is non other than our adopted sister (pet dog) named Ginger. She is now 10 years old although she doesn't look like it. She has been with us through thick and thin.
I'm a Civil Engineer by profession. I stuck with it just up to last March 2021. I resigned. Best decision I have made since the pandemic. Not that I hate being an engineer, it's just "how" our industry or even the traditional work setup that most should endure. I came to a point of being depressed at work and of the people I've been working with. The work environment was toxic, I too became a toxic person. Good thing, I came to my senses and prioritize my overall wellbeing. I had a decent salary but it does not compensate the time I've wasted on being miserable, the mental breakdown and anxieties I had to go through. This is me on my last day. I was so happy.
Do I still want to be an engineer? To be honest, I don't think so anymore. Since being intimate with myself and recently knowing that I'm an ENFJ aka The Protagonist, I've realized that my strengths (communication, organizing and execution, people skills) are of a different category. I want to explore other options and see what other avenues I can excel. One of which is writing. Shoutout to @ybanezkim26 for inspiring me to get back on writing and sharing stories. Another is putting up a simple business with a friend at my happy place which is a working progress. And also, I have upcoming home renovation projects so I’ll see where it will lead me.
Since my resignation, I've been doing the things that I love and makes me happy. Besides the ones I mentioned above, I've went back to the love of my life - the beach/sea and everything that lives under it. I love swimming. I used to play for the varsity team back in college. But now, I've been learning to free-dive which is the best experience I've done over the past month. My childhood dream of being a mermaid has finally come true. And I hope to get better at it. And if you happen to be freediving or hanging out at Panagsama, Moalboal (my happy place), let me know! Let's swim our worries away.
Travel? Yes, I'm back on it since restrictions here at our place have loosen up. In fact, I'm headed tonight to Leyte and explore the place. I'll be staying there for a week. Definitely, I'll be sharing my travel stories with you soon.
Past time? - Besides the usual researching on crystals, well ghost movies and stories! I know it's weird but I'd get excited over them. Me and my sister would take a long time to decide what to watch on Netflix because she prefers romantic movies while I like ghost or thriller stories. Sometimes, if the movie is based on a true story, I would dedicate an hour or two just to research more about it. If you have some personal stories about ghost encounters, we can definitely talk about that here!
