Fishing for Rainbows.

Jay, Dallas and I went out to the quarry to fish for some Rainbows.
The quarry is a 2.5hr drive south of us.

Dallas getting some holes drilled. We didn’t end up staying in this spot, it was way too shallow.

Jay and I got some wood while Dallas drilled a few more holes at a different spot on the quarry.

After a few hours there we changed spots again.

Good thing too! the wind decided to pick up.

It was still a bit cold so Jay built a little shelter and a fire.

After an hour in this spot and some leftover deer burgers we decided to head back to the truck since the Rainbows weren’t biting and that wind was bone chilling.

Even though we got skunked by them Rainbows it was a great day!
Now for the 2.5hr ride back home.

Great post! Skunked or not looks like a fun time. I also noticed you tagged with #originalcontent, is it just a tag to use or is there a community encouraging it?

Thanks!
I am not sure if the #originalcontent tag has a community encouraging it or not.

Wow! You are some hardy folks up there in the North Country. I believe I will stop whining about the Rocky Mountain Spring weather. After all, the sun is trying to come out today.

Good fishing!

This is our 'spring' weather, it was -15C felt like -24C with the windchill.
I am ready for warmer temps.. anytime now lol :)

You just planted 0.25 tree(s)!
