Mérida is one of the twenty three states that make up the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; It is located in the west of the country, in the Andes region. It limits to the north with Zulia, to the northeast with Trujillo, to the east with Barinas and to the southwest with Táchira.
The Mucubají Lagoon
It is located in the Sierra Nevada Park, in the state of Merida, Venezuela. It is one of the largest lagoons in the region
It is believed that the name of the lagoon is due to the name of the indigenous inhabitants of the region. Mucubají means in this language "large water site"
The lagoon is of glacial origin and is about ten thousand years old, undoubtedly a beautiful place.
It is really beautiful to connect with nature and breathe fresh air. also the weather is a spectacle.
I hope you liked it, and when you have the opportunity to visit Venezuela, do not hesitate to go there.
