the legend of lanao lake in philippines

what a great day steemers, how was your day today? on my topic to day am going to write up on of the mythological ancient legend in philippines, the myth of lanao lake.

lets begin the story, there was a giant named umacaan he was so enormous when he shake his arm sideward it spread more than 30 kilometers apart and almost anything is was easy to reach, he love to eat men flee at the side of him. and no one dare to come on the mountain for fier of umacaan and losing thier lives, at the hand to the giant. the news about the giant umacaan, reached as far on the kingdom of bumbaran, and came from the brave princes name rajah indarapata and -rajah soliman.. they swore to kill the giant monster and then the next day they both swore to kill the umacaan the giant monster, they didnt leave at the same time, rajah soliman came to the mountain of lanao first to fight the monster. umacaan tricked rajah soliman to cut him into pieces and each pieces of umacaan  becomes another umacaan and the prince proved that thertes no one will match to kill the monster..

time came its and rajah indarapatra reached lanao, he was informed by the spirit queen of his brother faith he swore to revenge for his brothers death.. before he came the spirit queen gifted his sword to enable him to defeat the monter,

when the fight begin umacaan cut several trees and throw it to rajah indarapatra whos quick to dodge to go out safely. the monster reached for some mud and form a big round balls and threw it to the prince.rajah inadapatra swift plunges to avoid  the big round balls, some of it was fell down into the lake while others was landed to the plain land and it makes like a hills that sorrounds lanao lake. when rajah had returned he helped up the magic sword that could wound the monter, as he did, umacaan yelled in pain he fell to his death..

up to now if youre going to visit the lanao lake you will notice a small floating islandaround the lake. these island believes to have formed out the clay balls that umacaan threw to rajah inadapatra that fells to lake as the legend as it. the end.. oh wow right! yawn thats a great story from old legend. by the way thank you for passing by..
