Gods of the Greek Mythology - Athena

The gods are immortal and insurmountable.

United, they are able to conquer even the most malevolent gods.

Disunity would plunge the world into the chaos from which it originated...

These gods are proud, sensitive, arrogant, slumbering in them list and intelligence, these qualities they use primarily in the quarrel for complots and betrayal.

Basically the gods do not differ much from the mortals, they are controlled by the same two passions, love and hate.

One fine day a god came along who was wiser, more prudent than the others, who was able to bring peace instead of dividing and instead of instigating wars.

A god who let himself be guided only by reason and not by feelings like the others.

The goddess Athena.

An extraordinary goddess with extraordinary origins.

The first wife of the king of gods Zeus was the nymph Metis, whose name means both caution and list.

Despite some trouble because of the unfaithfulness of the king, they were a happy couple, but one day two other gods, Gaia the earth and Uranus the sky, knocked on the door of the ruler of Olympus.

They came with a disturbing prophecy.

Metis would first bring a girl into the world and then a boy, this boy would surpass his father in cunning and strength and finally push him from his throne.

Zeus ruled unrestrictedly and it should remain so.

He had fought hard for the throne and had no intention of sharing it with anyone or even leaving it.

When Metis was about to give birth, Zeus embarrassed Metis to ask for a list, he asked her to show him how transformable she was.

Metis had no idea what was behind it and fell into the trap.

She presented Zeus with the most astonishing metamorphoses and finally, inspired by Zeus, turned into a drop of water.

Zeus congratulated her, applauded and swallowed Metis down.

Full of enough effort, the king of the gods continued to pursue his business.

A short time later he got unbearable headaches, they were so violent that Zeus called on all the gods of the Olympus for help.

His son Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths, came and punched his father Zeus with a sledgehammer a hole in the skull and behold, a young girl jumped out of it, in armor and bright shining.

Zeus launched a piercing war cry that lasted through all of Olympus.

The gods seized the fear, high waves piled up in the rivers and seas and the sun stopped its car.

Athena was born.

Athena always was my favourite goddess from the Greek pantheon. Not only because of her wisdom but mostly because of how she was born.
