I have always wondered what it is like living on a mountain and encountering the fog. I had mentioned earlier that I would some day take a picture of the fog. Well, it happened sooner than I thought.
I took this picture this morning after the heavy rains last night, yes, blessed rain. I like the rain too as it reminds me of rains of blessings. And what greater time than to have it following passover ☺.
So what is fog, anyway. Similar to the cloud ☁, but fog takes place at ground level and not in the sky. It is formed from tiny water drops that float in the air. In very cold conditions, it also contains particles of ice.
The atmosphere contains water vapour. When the air becomes warm, it can hold more water. On the other hand, when the air cools down, it is unable to hold on to that water. As the air gets much cooler, it is taken over by water vapor. If the temperature reduces further, the air is not able to contain all that water vapor; hence, forces some of these vapour to condense around very, very tiny particles such as dust and in turn, creates droplets. As soon as a lot of these droplets form, fog is created.
