Put a plant in your room and breathe (3 PART)
Tips when buying and having plants at home
- Locate them away from radiators and air conditioners.
- Avoid spots in the house with drafts and frequent passage.
- Put the flowering plants in places with lots of light.
- Do not buy the plants for their appearance and weigh where they will be and for what purpose.
- Respect the space that the plant needs in order to grow.
THE SALON
The more you plan, the better. In most of the houses, the living room is a large area full of electronic devices that emit electromagnetic waves and environmental noise. It is recommended to put as many plants as possible to minimize the negative effects of these contamination. But if the living room does not have much space, a bamboo palm tree will reduce the polluted air derived from the paints, varnishes and / or lacquers of the furniture.
THE KITCHEN
Aloe vera is the plant they recommend from NASA to put in the kitchen. This space is usually charged with fumes, intense smells, artificial light, excess humidity, etc. Aloe vera absorbs all the waste that is in the environment and is able to tell us if the kitchen is contaminated, through brown spots that come out in its leaves. You can also put some aromatic plant, such as basil which, apart from spicing the dishes, acts as a natural barrier against insects.
BATHROOM
If there is a stay in the house with sudden changes in temperature and high levels of humidity, it is the bathroom. Therefore, it is good to have plants that take advantage of that humidity, reducing it naturally, as well as absorbing the vapor that some components present in cosmetics and hygiene articles give off. Ivy and espatifilo are the most used because they live very well in this type of conditions. The begonia, in addition to providing color, adapts well to wet areas, such as the bathroom.
THE BEDROOM
In the bedroom, contrary to what has been believed for many years, it is very healthy to put plants that at night absorb CO2 and release oxygen. According to NASA, the sansevieria or tiger tongue is listed as one of the best plants to purify the air. In addition, by emitting oxygen at night promotes deep and restful sleep. We can combine with a lavender plant, which reduces anxiety levels and induces sleep. Its aromas reduce the heart rate, blood pressure and stress levels.
