RE: The Longest Natural Miscarriage Ever

in #naturalmedicine6 years ago (edited)

I had a similar but completely different experience of my own, miscarrying at 4.5 months, after four months of being told that I was not pregnant, and having actually been turned away from the same hospital earlier that day, because the admitting nurse didn't believe me when I told her what was happening.

Thanks to her, I lost 3.5 pints of blood, and damned near died.

Thanks to all the medical "professionals" having total faith in their bloody tests, and not one actually bothering to palpate me, by the time I miscarried I had full blown septicaemia, and spent days in ICU as a direct result.

Small wonder I'm no fan of allopathic medicine.

And yet, I can't even imagine what you went through, but I fully support and honor the choices you made. I am very glad that you and your husband had one another to get through that time, as heart-wrenching as it had to be, and grateful to know that you did finally have a healthy natural birth. Many blessings to you all.

I'm sorry that you had such a traumatic experience. So grateful that you survived.

Like most of our trials in life, it made me stronger, and more compassionate about others. It also made me passionate as a health advocate.

So, from that perspective, while I still wish I had made better decisions, I see it as having been more of a positive than a negative.
