Honey Bee Medicine ~ Part One
The other morning I invoked help from benevolent beings in rebuilding my body's cells.
Why, after over 6 years, was my body still struggling with extreme fatigue and numbness?
2012 marked a major turning point in my life. Never before have I lived in such a healthy and conscious way. Yet clean living turns out to be not enough. My body is not absorbing nutrients from food and supplements efficiently to regenerate. My strength is more of a distant memory than reality.
I truly believe that when we vibrate at an optimum resonance our cells can regenerate instead of degenerate.
Actual application has been more elusive than reality, and so I asked my benevolent guides, “What do I need to do now to strengthen my body and give it the support it needs to thrive?”
As these answers can take time to manifest, half an hour later I was outside frying the last piece of bread for lunch, finishing breakfast,
And just as I drank the last gulp of morning tea, I crunched something that I accepted as OK at first, but then thought “this shouldn't be there”
{It is not unusual for my tea to have a crunchy element to it, but I did not remember adding anything crunchy today.}
I spit out what was in my mouth and discovered that I had chomped a honey bee in two.
Before I fully realized what I was doing, I had pulled the stinger from the tip of my tongue, and looked at it in disbelief. The venom sac was still intact, although slightly deflated.
A slow increase in pain began on the right side of my tongue, near the tip, assuring me there was another aspect to this reality I had not yet considered.
Ouch!
My next feelings were that of sorrow. I felt sad that a honey bee was killed because I had not taken the time to look into my mug first. An avoidable accident.
I could have had the top on the mug. Then the bee wouldn't have fallen into it in the first place.
Why didn't I hear it buzzing? I have acute hearing. I can hear insects buzzing, especially when they're in distress - why not this time?
While questions and contemplations ran through my head, I turned around and called to my Love who was inside, then opened the screen to go in. He met me at the door and helped me inside while I tried to put the experience into coherent words.
While in a mild state of shock I told him I had bit a honey bee in half, and that I got the stinger out.
With the help of my Love, I reclined on our bed and sipped cold water with Lavender essential oil. Lavender and cold are both known to help with bee stings.
Over the past 10 years I have dealt with more stings than ever before in my life. Being a bee keeper for a few years added many moments of exposure. As a result I learned how to efficiently treat them, although in the past immediate tending usually did not happen, and swelling would increase alarmingly.
I contemplated my situation. Maybe this was part of the answer to my inquiry earlier that morning. Maybe not. Either way, I could choose to feed the fear that was rising as my tongue slowly continued to swell, or I could trust I was doing what I needed to do. Pause, rest and be quiet.....

I didn't know that lavender was good for bee stings!! I use it for sleeping and burns, but not that. Isnt it funny, the lessons we learn! Poor little bee. And poor you, being bitten!
